Prudential Financial is looking for a Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer focused on Perimeter Security. The role implements and supports perimeter security controls, coordinates deployments to minimize risk, and operates within an agile delivery model while providing tier 4 support.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering, implementation, and support of perimeter security controls
- Align capabilities with security policies, standards, and outcomes
- Coordinate deployment with business units to achieve security outcomes
- Provide tier 4 support and after-hours rotation
- Create engineering documentation (engineering specifications, runbooks, playbooks)
Technical Overview
This role delivers security controls through the systems development lifecycle, including on-premises perimeter security (web proxies, next generation firewalls) and cloud-based perimeter security (WAF, denial of service, Zero Trust such as Z-Scaler ZTNA). It requires producing engineering documentation (specifications, runbooks, playbooks) and supporting operations via JIRA-based updates and scrum cadence.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a security-focused infrastructure engineer with 5 to 10+ years of IT engineering experience who can implement and support perimeter security controls. They have foundational expertise in web proxies, next generation firewalls (NGFW), WAF, denial of service, and Zero Trust—particularly Z-Scaler ZTNA—and can produce technical documentation like engineering specifications, runbooks, and playbooks.
