About this role
Lead backend software engineering for securities settlements technology at the Vice President level. You will define system architecture, write and review scalable production code, and guide DevOps practices to ensure observability, availability, and resiliency for a distributed settlement platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to clarify requirements, milestones, and backlog
- Drive system architecture and design
- Write clean, performant, scalable, testable, and reusable code
- Review pull requests and mentor junior developers on design, coding, and testing
- Guide DevOps practices to enhance observability, availability, and resiliency; act as end-to-end production owner
Technical Overview
The role focuses on building a distributed settlement platform for security settlements across markets, handling very high trade volumes. The environment is agile, with strong emphasis on system architecture, code quality (clean/performance/scalability/testability), and DevOps practices in production—preferably on Azure and other public cloud architectures.
