About this role
Lead and implement semantic web solutions by developing ontologies, taxonomies, and knowledge graphs for interconnected data and discovery. Influence the semantic vision, roadmap, and architecture while ensuring governance and feasibility for strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance ontologies, taxonomies, and knowledge graphs for interconnected data
- Design and prototype solutions to scale semantic artefact construction/maintenance/consumption
- Provide thought leadership to ensure timelines, prioritization, and deliverables
- Influence strategic semantic vision, roadmap, and next-generation architecture
- Execute interconnected data vision with linked metadata schemes
Technical Overview
You will design, prototype, and scale data/software engineering solutions for constructing, maintaining, and consuming semantic artefacts using RDF/RDFS/OWL and SPARQL. You will also create linked metadata schemes and apply knowledge organization strategies with metadata and ontology management for data governance and search/discovery.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a lead knowledge engineer with 5+ years focused on ontology development and semantic web technologies including RDF, RDFS, OWL, and SPARQL. They have hands-on experience building knowledge graphs, semantic artefacts, and linked metadata schemes, with strong stakeholder communication to influence semantic strategy and governance.
