About this role
Lead Manufacturing Engineer for CMC Conventional Machining responsible for developing, industrializing, and scaling machining processes for ceramic matrix composite components used in aerospace applications; collaborates across design, materials, quality, and procurement; drives process qualification and lifecycle improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead scale-up of CMC machining processes to full-rate production
- Develop robust machining parameters
- Maintain process routings and standard work
- Qualify processes and FAIs
- Coordinate with design, materials, quality, and sourcing
Technical Overview
Focus on CNC machining, Siemens/Fanuc controls, non-contact metrology (GOM/Blue Light), NC programming, CAM/CAM, FAIs, and process qualification; strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and producibility.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior manufacturing engineer with 3+ years’ experience in CMC conventional machining or aerospace manufacturing, capable of scaling machining processes, performing FAIs, and leading cross-functional teams across design, materials, quality, and sourcing.
