About this role
Lead role in GE Aerospace manufacturing, focusing on defining and controlling production tooling and equipment, with execution of policies and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and control production process including tooling and equipment
- Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment
- Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline
- Use judgment and propose solutions outside parameters with guidance
- Provide informal guidance to new team members
Technical Overview
Engineering scope includes shop-floor tooling integration, design validation for new products/tools/equipment, and application of manufacturing policy. Emphasis on project management, problem solving, and data-driven decision making.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid- to senior-level manufacturing engineer with at least 3 years’ experience defining and controlling production tooling and equipment, and with strong project management and problem-solving abilities. He or she can navigate shop-floor operations in an aerospace manufacturing environment and guide junior team members.
