About this role
Lead Avalara's AI-first People & Culture AI & Excellence program, owning the P&C AI portfolio and end-to-end delivery of AI-enabled workflows across employee journeys. Partner with the central AI COE to govern risks, data handling, and adoption while delivering measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the P&C AI portfolio and roadmap
- Stand up governance and delivery for AI initiatives
- Act as product owner for P&C AI agents
- Design tests and pilots to improve agent effectiveness
- Partner with Engineering, PeopleTech, and COE on architecture and data handling
Technical Overview
Role centers on AI strategy and execution, with emphasis on LLM-based agents, prompt/workflow design, cross-platform automation (n8n, Glean, ServiceNow, Workday), and data governance across HR processes. Requires experience shaping AI/automation roadmaps and governance.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior product leader with 6+ years in HR/HR tech or people analytics, strong AI literacy (LLMs, prompts), and a proven ability to turn AI strategy into executable experiences across employee journeys. They excel in governance, stakeholder management, and delivering measurable outcomes through AI-enabled workflows.
