About this role
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of test automation frameworks for web applications and data pipelines. Own test strategy across UI, API, backend, and data layers, and drive shift-left testing, test data management, and performance/load testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead test automation frameworks for full-stack web apps and data pipelines
- Define and execute UI/API/backend/data test strategies for functional, integration, regression, and performance
- Embed quality into CI/CD pipelines and AWS cloud deployments with developers and DevOps
- Mentor QA engineers and improve quality metrics and exploratory testing
- Lead performance and load testing and analyze results to drive continuous improvement
Technical Overview
You will build and maintain automation using Python and PyTest, validate REST APIs and microservices, and test ETL/ELT data pipelines with Databricks. You will integrate quality into CI/CD with AWS deployments and run performance/load testing using tools such as JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Lead Quality Engineer with 6+ years of hands-on software testing and strong test automation experience across modern web applications and data platforms. They have deep experience with Python and PyTest, REST API and microservices testing, and hands-on Databricks testing, plus the ability to lead CI/CD quality and performance/load testing.
