About this role
This is a Part-Time Lead Sales Associate role at Dollar General in which you support store operations as a cashier and/or stocker. You lead in the absence of store management, help implement plan-o-grams, and provide exemplary customer service while following policies to protect company assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload trucks and receive cartons/totes
- Stock merchandise and rotate/face shelves
- Implement and maintain plan-o-grams
- Operate cash register and flatbed scanner; handle payments/make change
- Open/close store as directed and provide customer service leadership
Technical Overview
The role is operational and front-end focused, requiring cash register operation and use of a flatbed scanner for itemizing and totaling purchases. It also requires merchandising execution through plan-o-grams and store processes for receiving, stocking, and displays.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a retail lead who can function as a cashier and stocker, and step into a leadership role when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent. They have experience unloading trucks, receiving cartons and totes, stocking and merchandising with plan-o-grams, and providing exemplary customer service while protecting company assets.
