About this role

Lead Android Software Engineer role focused on building Android client code solutions that align to Product Strategy and established engineering best practices. You will partner across engineering, UX/UI, Quality, and Product to deliver high-performing mobile customer experiences while mentoring engineers and leading major platform components.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Android client code solutions aligned to Product Strategy and engineering best practices
Partner cross-functionally (Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, Product Owners/Analysts) to deliver customer experiences
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies to deliver commitments on time and with high quality
Own and lead delivery of major Android components and platform needs with senior engineers and Architects
Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Kotlin and other language idioms

Technical Overview

You will lead development for Android applications using Kotlin, participate in Agile ceremonies, and ensure PR quality with Kotlin language idioms. The role emphasizes continuous learning across mobile technologies (Kotlin, Swift, and 3rd party libraries) and cross-platform collaboration with iOS and APIs.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a Lead Android engineer with 3+ years building Android applications in Kotlin and 4+ years of professional software engineering experience. They are comfortable leading delivery of major Android components in Agile teams, reviewing pull requests, and mentoring junior to mid-level engineers while collaborating across UX/UI, Quality, Product, and senior architects.

Must-Have Skills
