About this role

Lead a secure, scalable Java microservices engineering effort within JPMorgan Chase’s Corporate Sector, Identity & Access Management. You will deliver production code, architecture/design artifacts, and improve system quality through proactive issue detection and strong CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities

Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms
Produce architecture and design artifacts while ensuring design constraints are met
Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture
Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events

Technical Overview

Hands-on backend engineering with Java, RESTful APIs, and Microservices architectures. Build production systems with CI/CD using Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, and relational data models on MS SQL Server, working on AWS/GCP/Azure; also apply Spring Framework components and cloud/container services as needed.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a Lead Java software engineer with 8+ years of software development experience and strong computer science fundamentals. They have hands-on experience building microservices with Java and RESTful APIs, implementing CI/CD with Jenkins using Git/Bitbucket, and working with relational data models on MS SQL Server. They are also comfortable working on AWS/GCP/Azure and can produce architecture/design artifacts for complex applications.
