Amazon Leo is building and operating a low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, and this Network Engineer role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and optimizing mission-critical enterprise networks. You will support development and lab environments across multiple locations, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Deployment and ongoing maintenance of complex network solutions in manufacturing and lab environments
Troubleshoot and resolve complex routing, interconnectivity, and performance issues
Implement and manage change control processes for network modifications
Develop and maintain operational procedures and technical documentation
Enhance and manage monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection

Technical Overview

You will work on enterprise network infrastructure supporting pre-production and production labs, with responsibilities spanning routing-focused troubleshooting, change control for network modifications, and building monitoring/alerting for proactive detection. The role requires Linux/Unix experience and automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl, with potential exposure to AWS networking products like Direct Connect and Transit Gateway.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an entry-level Network Engineer with 1+ years of experience working with major internet routing protocols and operating in Linux/Unix environments. They have hands-on automation scripting experience using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl and can troubleshoot complex routing, interconnectivity, and performance issues in lab or production network environments.
