Licensed Engineer in Palmdale with responsibility for preventive maintenance and repair of hospital plant operations. The role requires building automation knowledge and a range of trade licenses to ensure safe and compliant facility performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on hospital building systems and equipment
- Repair, alteration, and modification of buildings, equipment, and facilities
- Read blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical manuals
- Maintain knowledge of equipment, controls, and building automation maintenance
- Adhere to EPA requirements and license requirements; coordinate with Director of Plant Operations
Technical Overview
Scope includes maintenance of hospital building systems, controls, and equipment with emphasis on building automation, HVAC, electrical, plumbing trades, and related licensing/credential requirements; EPA compliance and CA driver license are required.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-career licensed plant operations engineer with 3 years of hospital experience, skilled in building automation and applicable trades licenses (Steam Engineer, Electrician, Journeyman). They should be able to read blueprints and manage facility systems within a hospital environment.
