About this role
Lift Truck Operator II operates gasoline- or electric-powered industrial trucks to transport, load, unload, and stack materials safely. The role also includes equipment upkeep, completing daily Vehicle Condition Reports, and recording quality/output measures and required paperwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate gasoline- or electric-powered industrial trucks
- Move and secure pallets, skids, boxes, and paper roll stock
- Load/unload trailers and dump/spray/release materials into hoppers
- Perform routine maintenance and complete daily Vehicle Condition Report
- Follow standard operating procedures and perform housekeeping
Technical Overview
Works with Powered Industrial Lifts (forklifts, lift beams, swivel-hooks, hoists, elevating platforms) and uses Warehouse Management Systems via stationary and onboard computers. Performs RF unit-directed moves and maintains production/quality records and daily equipment condition reporting.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a forklift operator with prior forklift experience and a strong safety mindset. They have experience operating gasoline- or electric-powered industrial trucks and can work within standard operating procedures in a manufacturing or production environment.
