About this role
The Linux Administrator is responsible for managing a mostly on-prem infrastructure, administering Linux (RedHat) and Windows Server environments, and overseeing virtualization with VMware; maintain security and uptime; manage identity with AD/Entra ID, M365; coordinate with cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Linux (RedHat) and Windows Server environments
- Manage virtualization with VMware across ~500 VMs and ~60 servers
- Maintain storage technologies and related infrastructure
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate tasks
- Support identity and access systems (Active Directory, Entra ID) and M365
Technical Overview
Stack includes RedHat Linux, VMware, Dell hardware, storage technologies, SIEM, M365; automation via PowerShell and Bash; patching and vulnerability management; on-call rotation and monitoring.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Linux Administrator with strong VMware, storage, and identity management in an on-prem, primarily remote environment; proficient with Linux (RedHat), Dell server hardware, AD/Entra ID, M365, and cloud services (Azure/AWS).
