Position Details
About this role
Performs routine loading and unloading of materials in a yard or warehouse and assembles load packages into trucks for delivery. Responsible for safe, balanced loading by following work orders and applying strapping, bracing, and padding to prevent shifting or damage.
Key Responsibilities
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trucks or customer vehicles
- Performs load-building to ensure balanced and safe hauling
- Reads work orders and labels/tags materials for correct identification
- Uses hand tools to open containers/units/slings and adjust packaging
- Follows safety procedures and attends safety meetings

Hands-on materials handling role using equipment such as forklifts, electric dollies, and hand trucks. Builds loads by reading orders, selecting appropriate load weight/composition/placement, and performing container opening and labeling/tagging while following safety procedures.
