HealthEdge is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and ship AI agents and automation across engineering, product, and delivery teams. The role focuses on AI platform development, integration with existing software, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

AI Platform development: develop and implement AI Agents and automation that accelerates internal engineering workflows and customer facing delivery processes
Integration: partner with software engineers to integrate AI into the company's existing software infrastructure
Collaboration: work directly with product managers, implementation consultants, engineers, and business operations teams to identify pain points
Research and Learning: stay current with advancements in LLMs, agentic frameworks, machine learning, and healthcare technology
Performance and Reliability: optimize AI systems for accuracy, latency, cost, and safety, with human-in-the-loop design and guardrails appropriate for healthcare

Technical Overview

Responsibilities include building AI agents using Python and agentic frameworks (LangChain, Strands), deploying ML models with PyTorch/scikit-learn, and maintaining end-to-end ML pipelines with CI/CD and version control. Healthcare data and EHR familiarity are a plus.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a mid-level ML engineer with 2-4 years of production ML experience, strong Python skills, and hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic frameworks like LangChain and Strands. They should be comfortable collaborating with non-technical stakeholders and working across cross-functional teams in a healthcare software environment.
