Nordstrom is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to help deliver a safe, well-maintained store environment. The technician performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and on-demand repairs across multiple Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations, supporting core building systems such as plumbing and HVAC while following safety procedures.

  • Perform day-to-day preventive maintenance and on-demand requests,
  • Complete maintenance records accurately and timely,
  • Perform daily inspections and building rounds,
  • Assist with troubleshooting and basic repairs (plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, HVAC),
  • Follow safety and health rules including LOTO, PPE, working at heights, and machine guarding

The role focuses on entry-level facilities maintenance work: troubleshooting and repairing building systems (including plumbing, roofs, drains, and HVAC) and supporting lighting systems. The technician uses manuals, electrical schematics, blueprints, and circuit diagrams, and maintains maintenance records using a PC or Laptop with a work order system and email.

The ideal candidate is an entry-level Facilities Maintenance Technician I with at least one year of related experience and/or training. They can perform preventive maintenance, handle on-demand repair requests, and support troubleshooting using manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics while consistently following safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, working at heights, machine guarding).
