This role helps maintain safe, well-functioning Nordstrom store facilities by performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned day-to-day preventive maintenance and on-demand requests
  • Complete appropriate maintenance records accurately and timely
  • Perform assigned daily inspections and building rounds
  • Assist with troubleshooting and basic repairs (plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, HVAC)
  • Observe and adhere to safety and health rules (LOTO, PPE, ergonomics, working at heights, machine guarding)

Work involves hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting across plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and HVAC, plus lighting system upkeep. The technician uses electrical schematics, blueprints, circuit diagrams, and manuals to diagnose and correct issues, while following LOTO, PPE, and working-at-heights safety practices.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an entry-level Facilities Maintenance Technician with a high school diploma (or GED) and at least one year of related experience or training. They are detail-oriented and can perform preventive maintenance, daily inspections, and basic troubleshooting across multiple building systems including HVAC and plumbing, while following safety requirements like LOTO, PPE, and machine guarding.
