About this role

Nordstrom is hiring a Maintenance Technician II to help lead preventive maintenance and respond to break-fix requests to keep stores safe and well maintained. The role supports the Facility Manager by troubleshooting building systems, operating building controls and EMCS alarm workflows, and mentoring other technicians across multiple store locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform preventive maintenance across critical and non-critical equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems for store operations
  • Operate and monitor building controls and building systems; manage EMCS alarm troubleshooting
  • Conduct equipment and building rounds & readings and report/mitigate malfunctions
  • Update CMMS and assist with parts ordering, PO# creation, and vendor management

Technical Overview

This is a facilities maintenance role requiring troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical issues across store operations, operating and monitoring building controls and associated equipment, and handling EMCS alarm troubleshooting. The technician will execute planned preventive maintenance on HVAC and other building systems and maintain accurate maintenance and equipment history in a CMMS.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Maintenance Technician II who can lead preventive maintenance and perform advanced troubleshooting for electrical and mechanical systems in retail facilities. They are safety-focused, comfortable using CMMS for work orders and maintenance history, and able to operate building controls and EMCS alarm workflows while mentoring other technicians.
