Nordstrom is hiring a Maintenance Technician II to help lead maintenance execution for store facilities, ensuring daily readiness for customers and employees. The role carries preventive maintenance responsibilities, addresses daily break-fix/on-demand requests, troubleshoots electrical and mechanical issues, and maintains accurate CMMS records.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform on-demand and planned Preventive Maintenance (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual) on store equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems for store operations
- Operate and monitor building controls and critical/non-critical building systems
- Use EMCS command to troubleshoot alarms and verify proper building operation
- Update CMMS and maintain parts inventory while coordinating vendors and workorders
Technical Overview
This role covers facility equipment readiness and troubleshooting across store operations, including HVAC, vertical transportation, and building systems. It requires operating and monitoring building controls for critical/non-critical systems, using EMCS alarm troubleshooting concepts, and documenting all maintenance activities in CMMS with correct equipment history.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Maintenance Technician II/lead technician with experience executing preventive maintenance on store equipment on an ongoing monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual schedule. They can troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems, operate building controls, handle EMCS alarm troubleshooting, maintain CMMS documentation and equipment history, and demonstrate strong safety leadership using LOTO, PPE, working at heights, and machine guarding.
