Maintenance Technician supports a corrugated packaging facility by maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment, machinery, and facilities. The role focuses on scheduled preventative maintenance, mechanical inspections and repairs, safety compliance, and organized recordkeeping under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance pm assigned by a supervisor
- Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery
- Practice safety awareness including machine operation and lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues to diagnose wear or damage
- Organize parts and materials in the proper locations
Technical Overview
The work includes mechanical equipment and machinery maintenance in a corrugated facility, with troubleshooting and routine preventative maintenance tasks. The position requires OSHA knowledge, lock-out/tag-out practices, the ability to read basic machine schematics, and the use of measuring equipment such as digital and dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers to diagnose wear or damage.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Maintenance Technician with at least 2 years of corrugated facility maintenance experience and 2+ years maintaining and repairing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment. They are strong in OSHA safety and lock-out/tag-out procedures, and they can perform scheduled preventative maintenance while troubleshooting mechanical machinery and reading basic machine schematics.
