About this role
Maintenance Tech I ensures production equipment and electrical/mechanical systems operate reliably by completing preventative maintenance, diagnosing malfunctions, and reducing downtime. The role also includes parts fabrication/repair, testing electrical assemblies, and maintaining safe working conditions with proper maintenance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on motors/pneumatic circuits/conveyors
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and locate sources of problems
- Fabricate and repair parts using machine shop equipment
- Test electrical/electronic systems and assemblies using oscilloscopes and electronic multi-meters
- Maintain safe work environment and complete maintenance work reports
Technical Overview
The technician performs preventative maintenance and troubleshooting across motors, pneumatic circuits, conveyor systems, and production machines. They use schematics/blueprints and precision test instruments (oscilloscopes and electronic multi-meters) and work with AC and DC drives and PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) control networks and I/O.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level maintenance technician with an Associate's degree in Engineering Technology/Automated Systems/Electronics Electrician or equivalent. They can perform preventative maintenance on motors, pneumatic circuits, conveyor systems, and production machines, and troubleshoot electrical issues using AC and DC drives, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and test instruments like oscilloscopes and electronic multi-meters.
