About this role
This role is responsible for maintaining manufacturing reliability by repairing mechanical and electrical equipment and performing preventative maintenance. The technician will troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, install and align new equipment, and support extrusion coating operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Program PLCs and support logic/motor control systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on motors, pneumatic circuits, conveyor systems, and production machines
- Troubleshoot and diagnose machine malfunctions using schematics and testing devices
- Assemble/install/repair wiring, electrical components, pipe systems and plumbing
- Repair/replace defective parts and support installation/alignment of new equipment
Technical Overview
The maintenance work includes programming PLCs, working with logic and motor control systems, and diagnosing machine issues using schematics, blueprints, and testing devices. Tasks cover motors, pneumatic circuits, conveyor systems, wiring, plumbing/pipe systems, and executing repairs using hand/power tools, measuring instruments, hoists/cranes, and welding equipment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level Maintenance Technician who can perform mechanical, electrical, and fabrication work to keep production machines and facility equipment reliable. They can program PLCs, perform preventative maintenance on motors, pneumatic circuits, and conveyor systems, and use schematics/blueprints to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
