About this role
Maintenance Technician II leads a facilities team to keep Nordstrom stores safe and ready for business every day. The role supports the Facility Manager (FM) with preventive maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, building system monitoring, and delegation of generated workorders, while also mentoring other technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform planned preventive maintenance and on-demand break-fix work
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems and support building readiness
- Operate and monitor building controls and associated equipment
- Troubleshoot EMCS alarms and verify proper building operation
- Update CMMS and delegate/mentor technicians while maintaining strict safety (LOTO, PPE)
Technical Overview
This position operates and monitors building controls across critical and non-critical systems and handles electrical and mechanical troubleshooting for store operations. It includes EMCS command troubleshooting for alarms and updating CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) with accurate maintenance records and equipment history.

The ideal candidate is a Maintenance Technician II who can lead preventive maintenance across HVAC and other critical building systems, and perform advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. They have experience operating building controls, working in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), delegating generated workorders, and serving as a safety champion while mentoring other technicians.
