About this role

This role supports Nordstrom stores by ensuring facility equipment and building systems are safe, maintained, and ready for daily business. The Maintenance Technician II leads preventive maintenance and provides advanced troubleshooting for electrical and mechanical issues while supporting the Facility Manager (FM) and mentoring other technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform on demand and planned Preventive Maintenance (monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual)
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems for store operations
  • Operate and monitor building controls and building systems, including EMCS command alarm troubleshooting
  • Maintain safety compliance (LOTO, PPE, working at heights, machine guarding)
  • Update CMMS and assist with parts ordering, PO# creation, and vendor management

Technical Overview

The technician performs planned and on-demand preventive maintenance across HVAC and multiple building systems, operating and monitoring building controls and troubleshooting alarms using EMCS command. They maintain equipment history and maintenance procedures in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and manage parts inventory and workorders delegation.

The ideal candidate is a Maintenance Technician II who can lead preventive maintenance and handle break-fix troubleshooting across store facility equipment. They have strong experience with HVAC and building systems, can operate building controls including EMCS command/alarm troubleshooting, and maintain accurate records in CMMS while following LOTO and PPE safety practices.
