About this role
The Maintenance Technician II will help lead a team to maintain a safe, well-functioning store facility environment for Nordstrom customers and employees. The role supports the Facility Manager to keep HVAC, building systems, and equipment ready for daily operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform on demand and planned Preventive Maintenance for critical and non-critical equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems for store operations
- Operate and monitor building controls and building systems
- Use EMCS command to troubleshoot alarms and verify building operation
- Maintain CMMS updates, manage parts inventory, and respond to emergencies
Technical Overview
Hands-on facilities maintenance focused on preventive maintenance scheduling and execution, electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, and operating/monitoring building control systems. Includes EMCS command alarm troubleshooting and maintaining accurate maintenance records in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a lead Maintenance Technician II who can independently run on-demand and scheduled Preventive Maintenance across store facility systems (HVAC, building controls, and equipment). They are strong in electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, have hands-on experience with CMMS updates, and consistently follow safety procedures such as LOTO and PPE.
