About this role
Nordstrom is hiring a Maintenance Technician II responsible for helping lead maintenance for store facilities at South Coast Plaza. The role ensures daily readiness by performing preventive maintenance, responding to break-fix and on-demand requests, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues, and updating CMMS records.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform on-demand and planned Preventive Maintenance (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual) on store equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems for store operations
- Operate and monitor building controls and critical/non-critical building systems
- Use EMCS command to troubleshoot alarms and verify proper building operation
- Update CMMS and maintain parts inventory while coordinating vendors and workorders
Technical Overview
The technical scope includes preventive maintenance execution across HVAC and multiple building systems, plus troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems for store operations. The technician operates and monitors building controls for critical/non-critical systems and performs EMCS alarm troubleshooting/verification while keeping CMMS maintenance documentation and equipment history accurate.

The ideal candidate is a Maintenance Technician II/lead with hands-on experience running preventive maintenance schedules across store building equipment. They excel at troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, operating and monitoring building controls and critical/non-critical building systems, participating in EMCS alarm troubleshooting, and maintaining CMMS updates and equipment history while leading with safety (LOTO, PPE, working at heights, machine guarding).
