About this role
Nordstrom is hiring a Maintenance Technician II to help lead maintenance coverage for store facilities, ensuring daily readiness for customers and employees. The role performs preventive maintenance, responds to break-fix requests, troubleshoots electrical/mechanical issues, and keeps building systems running using CMMS documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform on-demand and planned Preventive Maintenance (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual) on store equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems for store operations
- Operate and monitor building controls and critical/non-critical building systems
- Use EMCS command to troubleshoot alarms and verify proper building operation
- Update CMMS and maintain parts inventory while coordinating vendors and workorders
Technical Overview
This position focuses on facility equipment readiness and troubleshooting for retail store operations, including HVAC, vertical transportation, building controls, and critical/non-critical building systems. It includes EMCS command work for alarm troubleshooting and relies on CMMS for maintenance records, work order support, and equipment historical documentation.

The ideal candidate is a Maintenance Technician II/lead technician with strong experience performing preventive maintenance (monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual) on building systems in retail environments. They can troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, operate building controls, use EMCS-related alarm/monitoring processes, maintain accurate CMMS records, and consistently follow safety procedures including LOTO, PPE, working at heights, and machine guarding.
