About this role
The Maintenance Technician provides mechanical and electrical upkeep and repairs for plant processes, systems, buildings, and production equipment on the 2nd shift. The role focuses on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and generating/closing SAP Work Orders to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and maximize machine uptime
- Troubleshoot mechanical/process problems and perform mechanical/electrical troubleshooting
- Read and follow blueprint/diagram instructions
- Generate Work Orders and close them out in SAP
- Maintain safety leadership and housekeeping standards
Technical Overview
Hands-on maintenance for production equipment, including PLC (programmable logic controllers) knowledge, low voltage machine controls, hydraulic and fluid power systems, and electrical systems up to 480 VAC. Includes blueprint/diagram reading, troubleshooting/diagnostics, and SAP-based work order management.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a maintenance technician who can troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues quickly while ensuring zero-injury safety practices. They have hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers, preventative maintenance, and reading blueprints/diagrams, and they can manage SAP Work Orders to maintain machine uptime and reduce downtime.
