The Maintenance Technician role supports Nucor Rebar Fabrication by performing safe preventative and corrective maintenance on steel fabrication equipment. The position includes troubleshooting, repairs/modifications, and creating parts lists and labor time estimates while assisting with safety devices and training teammates.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and optimum functioning equipment
Troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment for safety and production efficiency
Generate parts lists and labor time estimates
Assist safety team with machine guards and safety devices
Train key shop teammates on new equipment and modifications

Technical Overview

Hands-on maintenance for steel fabrication equipment, including preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, machine repair, and modifications to maintain production efficiency and workplace safety. Work includes supporting installation/design of machine guards and safety devices.
