About this role
Maintenance Technician maintains, repairs, and installs equipment, machinery, and facilities under direct supervision. The role focuses on scheduled preventative maintenance, mechanical inspections and repairs, troubleshooting, and strict adherence to OSHA and lock-out/tag-out safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (pm)
- Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery
- Follow OSHA requirements and lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Troubleshoot and diagnose machine wear/damage using measuring equipment
- Read and understand basic machine schematics and organize parts/materials
Technical Overview
The technician will perform routine maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery using hand tools and power tools, including safe operation of hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, and clamps. They must be able to read basic machine schematics and learn measuring equipment for high-accuracy diagnosis (0.001") using digital and dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, levels, and angle/depth gages.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level maintenance technician with maintenance and repair aptitude for industrial manufacturing equipment. They can perform scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and follow OSHA requirements and lock-out/tag-out procedures, while learning precision measurement techniques to diagnose wear and damage.
