About this role
Westlake Royal Building Products is hiring a Maintenance Technician responsible for preventative and routine maintenance for all extrusion equipment and related support systems. The role includes electrical and mechanical troubleshooting (including PLC troubleshooting), installation of plant equipment, PM execution, and CMMS documentation with a focus on predictive/preventative maintenance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance on extrusion equipment
- Troubleshoot PLC and electrical/mechanical maintenance issues
- Install new plant equipment and handle equipment modifications
- Execute PMs and rebuild equipment components
- Use CMMS programs and comply with PLC/PC software updating, filing, and archiving policies
Technical Overview
This position focuses on maintaining extrusion equipment using electrical and mechanical maintenance fundamentals, including PLC troubleshooting and PC/PLC application compliance. The technical environment includes 3 phase 480v power systems, predictive/preventative maintenance practices, and support system knowledge across process water, chilled water, and compressed air systems, with CMMS usage for tracking and documentation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a maintenance technician with 5+ years of electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing, with hands-on PLC troubleshooting and strong familiarity with CMMS programs. They are comfortable maintaining extrusion equipment and related support systems (process water, chilled water, compressed air), follow predictive/preventative maintenance practices, and understand 5S and lean principles.
Must-Have Skills
