About this role
Maintenance Technician II supports manufacturing operations by performing complex mechanical duties and electrical trade functions. The role focuses on PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting from blue prints, and preventive/continuous improvement work to reduce downtime and costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Trouble shoot PLC's (Programmable Logic Controller) using hand held device or laptop
- Design and redesign program and software (PLCs, operator panels, etc)
- Diagnose trouble in electrical systems working from blue prints, drawings, layouts
- Install, maintain, or repair equipment for electrical energy generation/distribution/utilization
- Participate in process improvement and maintain safe, clean work areas
Technical Overview
Technician will troubleshoot PLC's (Programmable Logic Controller) using a hand held device or laptop, redesign PLC/operator panel software, and install/maintain electrical controls and programmable controllers. Work includes electrical system diagnosis, VFD's (Variable Frequency Drives), serial port communication systems, process control instrumentation devices, and safe tool-based electrical testing.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Maintenance Technician II with 3+ years of industrial electro-mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. They can troubleshoot PLC's (Programmable Logic Controller) using a hand held device or laptop, read blue prints and electrical layouts, and support electrical energy distribution/utilization equipment with safe, organized fieldwork.
