About this role

Mohawk Industries seeks a Certified Maintenance Technician to perform routine upkeep and respond to on-shift calls to troubleshoot and repair machines, equipment, facility utilities, and infrastructure. The role covers both electrical and mechanical diagnostics, plus documentation and calibration of field instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine upkeep and inspections
Respond on shift to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures
Diagnose, repair, or replace electrical and mechanical components
Troubleshoot process control equipment and board level instrumentation
Install and calibrate field instrumentation and document failures

Technical Overview

You will diagnose and repair electrical apparatus (wires/cables, printed circuit boards, sensors, transformers, motors, motor controllers, PLCs) and mechanical systems (pneumatic/hydraulic components, pumps, valves, cylinders, bearings, chains, sprockets). You will also troubleshoot process control equipment and board level instrumentation and calibrate field instruments including RTDs, thermocouples, flow meters, and pressure transducers.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a certified Maintenance Technician currently working in a Plant Maintenance group with 3+ years of mechanical/electrical background. They can troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems quickly to minimize downtime, and they are experienced with process control equipment and board level instrumentation. They also install and calibrate field instrumentation (RTDs, thermocouples, flow meters, pressure transducers) and document failures properly.

Must-Have Skills
