About this role
Senior Manager of Engineering responsible for leading the full engineering scope of the multi-billion-dollar Extended Power Uprate at Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant. Ensures technical excellence and compliance with NRC/NQA-1; coordinates with EPC partners, OEMs, Owner's Engineer, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering execution for multi-billion-dollar EPU projects, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance
- Oversee system modifications with EPCs, OEMs, and site engineering teams for readiness and constructability
- Approve and govern engineering reviews ensuring compliance with NRC requirements, NQA-1 standards, and fleet governance
- Manage Owner's Engineer and independent third-party reviews to validate technical quality and execution feasibility
- Serve as primary engineering interface with regulators and stakeholders to secure timely approvals
Technical Overview
Focus on nuclear plant engineering, safety, regulatory compliance, design, modification, testing, and integration with plant operations; requires EPC oversight and regulatory interface experience; strong emphasis on long-term operability and fleet governance.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior engineering leader with 10+ years of nuclear plant project experience, strong NRC/NQA-1 knowledge, and EPC oversight experience.
