About this role
This role is for an Outside Sales Account Executive who underwrites and negotiates management and professional liability (and surety) business. You will build relationships with agents and brokers while managing profitability, growth, and retention in an assigned book of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business
- Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability
- Execute business unit underwriting strategies across your book of business
- Cultivate and maintain internal partner relationships to identify cross-selling opportunities
- Foster and maintain relationships with external agents and brokers through regular in-person meetings
Technical Overview
The job focuses on insurance underwriting and risk assessment rather than software or systems. You will apply underwriting strategies across coverages such as Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, CyberRisk, and more, and negotiate terms to meet profit objectives.
