About this role
Manage and control daily accounting/finance operations for a site, including budgeting, forecasting, internal auditing, and key accounting functions. Lead the accounting team and ensure GAAP compliance and effective financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily Accounting/Finance programs and systems at site
- Direct tax, internal auditing, budgeting, and core accounting processes
- Prepare forecasts, profit and loss statements, and annual budget with variance/cost reduction analysis
- Ensure accounting practices and controls follow GAAP, company policy, and State and Federal controls
- Lead accounting staff and evaluate/contract with audit and accounting service vendors
Technical Overview
This role owns accounting/finance program operations: tax, internal auditing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general journals, fixed assets, financial statement preparation, and cost reporting/analysis. The manager supports forecasting, profit and loss reporting, variance analysis, and cost reduction under GAAP, company policy, and State/Federal controls.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an accounting/finance leader with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 7+ years of broad-based accounting/reporting experience, including 3+ years of management/leadership experience. They are highly skilled in GAAP-driven financial controls, internal auditing, budgeting, and managing the full accounting cycle from accounts payable/receivable to financial statements and cost reporting.
