About this role

This role manages Custom DevOps to transform Textron’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) environment into a DevOps operation. The manager is responsible for Azure DevOps strategy and pipeline optimization, and for building custom tools, automation, and orchestration to improve security, scalability, user experience, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement DevOps strategies across projects and teams
Manage, configure, and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories, and services
Build tools and scripts using custom programming; implement automation and orchestration
Coordinate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams for software delivery
Transform IAM strategy into a DevOps operation with enhanced authentication, monitoring, and compliance

Technical Overview

Technical scope centers on DevOps strategy implementation aligned to business objectives, with hands-on management of Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories, and services. The role includes custom programming to build/maintain tools and scripts, and implementing continuous delivery pipelines for software delivery while modernizing IAM with continuous monitoring, real-time threat detection, and advanced authentication methods.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced DevOps leader who has managed and optimized Azure DevOps pipelines and repositories while implementing automation and orchestration for software delivery. They will have strong experience transforming Identity and Access Management (IAM) into a DevOps operating model with enhanced authentication, continuous monitoring, real-time threat detection, and compliance alignment.
