Manager, Data Science - AI for Data

This role leads data science work on the AI for Data team, partnering across data science, engineering, and product to deliver AI-enabled features. You will build and operationalize machine learning models and translate model complexity into tangible business outcomes for customer experiences.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-loved products
• Leverage a broad stack (Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark) to analyze numeric and textual data
• Build machine learning models from design through implementation

• Iterate rapidly in an ambiguous, high-priority environment

You will develop machine learning models across the full lifecycle (design, training, evaluation, validation, implementation) using Python and cloud/data tools including Conda, Amazon Web Services (AWS), H2O, and Spark. The work emphasizes statistical modeling and the ability to evaluate results using metrics such as confusion matrices and ROC curves, across tasks like clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning.

The ideal candidate is a lead-level data science professional who has hands-on experience building machine learning models end-to-end, from design and training through evaluation, validation, and implementation. They are strongly statistically minded, able to interpret a confusion matrix and ROC curve, and experienced with clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning using tools like Python, AWS, H2O, and Spark.
