Manager of Ontology and Data Modeling for Capital One's Commercial Bank, leading enterprise ontologies and semantic data modeling initiatives to support the data strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide the definition, design, and deployment of ontology-based data products
  • Define problem statements and roadmaps for ontology programs
  • Align stakeholders and drive cross-team collaboration

Technical Overview

In-depth knowledge of W3C standards (RDF/RDFS/OWL/SKOS), SPARQL, and graph databases (Stardog, Neptune, Data.World). Proficiency with SQL, JSON, OpenAPI/YAML, and AWS; Agile-environment experience.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years in metadata/ontology work with strong knowledge of W3C standards (RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS) and hands-on experience with graph databases and ontology tools. Strong communication, project management, and the ability to influence across lines of business are essential.
