About this role
Manager of Ontology and Data Modeling responsible for developing and governing enterprise ontologies and data models to support Capital One's data strategy within the Commercial Bank.

- Define ontology-based data products; define near-term roadmap; leverage data integration with ontologies; communicate value and standards; mentor associates
Technical Overview
Focus on W3C standards for ontologies (RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS), ontology tools (Protege, GraphWise, Stardog, etc.), and linked data concepts. Requires strong SQL/SPARQL and data modeling capabilities with governance discipline.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Ontology and Data Modeling professional (4+ years in metadata/ontology/semantics) with strong W3C standard knowledge and hands-on experience with multiple ontology tools. They should lead enterprise ontology initiatives across business lines and drive semantic data projects.
