About this role
Wheel is hiring a payor contracting leader to architect and execute its payer strategy. The role is externally facing and revenue-focused, owning complex payer negotiations and contract structures that improve contribution margin and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end negotiation of payer agreements (FFS, value-based, risk-bearing, hybrid)
- Drive rate optimization and economically sound contract structures
- Review and interpret health plan, medical group/IPA, and hospital/ancillary contract language
- Partner with Legal, Finance, and Ops to align contracts with unit economics and pricing strategy
- Build tools and reporting for payer performance and opportunities
