About this role
Manager Purchasing oversees the day-to-day operations of a purchasing team and optimizes procurement to secure goods and services at the best possible value. The role focuses heavily on spend-data governance, KPI dashboarding, and coordinating raw material planning and procurement annual operating plan rollups.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead spend data cleansing, normalization, and validation
- Develop and govern spend taxonomy across regions and categories
- Build interactive dashboards and track procurement KPIs and savings
- Implement raw material planning structure using demand forecasting and supply planning
- Establish and manage the bottoms up Procurement Annual Operating Plan (AOP) roll up process
Technical Overview
Builds and governs procurement spend taxonomy, performs cleansing/normalizing/validation of historical spend data, and designs interactive dashboards and procurement KPI reporting. Leads planning structures spanning demand forecasting, supply planning, and sourcing strategies, coordinating with inventory management, supply chain, operations, finance, and planning teams.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced purchasing/procurement leader who can run day-to-day purchasing operations and optimize procurement for best value. They have strong spend-data analysis skills, experience building procurement dashboards and KPI reporting, and can lead planning structures and annual operating plan rollups.
