About this role

Alteryx is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a small team of UI engineers building agentic analytics experiences. You will drive delivery of scalable UI systems, guide frontend architecture, and collaborate with Product, Design, TPM, and backend teams to ship end-to-end interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop UI engineers (hiring, coaching, performance management)
  • Drive scalable, high-quality UI systems for agentic analytics workflows
  • Translate product and design vision into execution plans and deliver predictably
  • Partner with Product, Design, TPM, and backend teams for end-to-end experiences
  • Own team execution and operational rigor (planning, estimation, tech debt, retros)

Technical Overview

The technical scope centers on frontend architecture and UI systems using React and TypeScript with modern UI architecture principles. The role includes guiding quality through testing and code quality standards, managing tech debt, and potentially working with design systems/components and microfrontend architectures in agentic analytics workflows.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering manager with 6+ years of software delivery and deep frontend expertise in React and TypeScript. They have 2+ years leading engineers, building scalable UI systems, driving execution through others, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end agentic analytics experiences with strong engineering fundamentals (testing, code quality, scalable design).
