About this role
Amazon Web Services is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for its Electrical Products and Services Engineering team. The role partners with contract manufacturers and internal teams to improve electrical equipment product quality, cost, manufacturability, and delivery performance, and to drive DFx and oversight for new product introductions.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and improve electrical equipment product quality, cost, manufacturability and delivery performance
- Collaborate with Contract Manufacturers and internal product development engineers
- Drive DFx using input from contract manufacturing supply base to improve product designs
- Provide key guidance and oversight for new product introductions
- Communicate technical direction to Senior Management
Technical Overview
This is an engineering manufacturing role focused on electrical distribution products used in a growing data center footprint. The engineer improves designs via DFx inputs from the contract manufacturing supply base and supports resilient, cost-effective engineering outcomes for world class uptime.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a manufacturing engineer experienced with international product development and manufacturing production environments. They have hands-on or program experience improving electrical equipment product quality, cost, manufacturability, and delivery performance while partnering with contract manufacturers and internal product development engineers.
