About this role
This role designs and optimizes SMT manufacturing processes to improve product quality and reduce downtime. You will troubleshoot solderability and process issues, support NPI by validating tooling and process flows, and lead root cause analysis with DOEs and CAPA.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize SMT manufacturing processes
- Analyze and troubleshoot process issues related to solderability and reflow profiles
- Support new product introduction (NPI) with process flows and tooling validation
- Perform root cause analysis, DOEs, and implement CAPA for deviations
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel
Technical Overview
The technical environment focuses on SMT equipment programming and process control, including solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, and inspection with SPI, AOI, and X-ray. The role uses statistical tools for process improvement and applies root cause analysis methodologies (8D, 5 Whys) to drive corrective and preventive actions.

The ideal candidate is a manufacturing engineering professional with 5+ years of experience in SMT equipment and programming. They have strong expertise in solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, and inspection using SPI, AOI, and X-ray, with proven capability to perform root cause analysis, DOEs, and CAPA to improve process performance and reduce downtime.
