About this role
Boston Scientific seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to lead engineering initiatives supporting daily manufacturing operations for Access and Delivery Solution Assembly (ASDA). The role focuses on improving product/process/equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and delivering process improvement and change management projects with quality and patient safety in mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and manage equipment requirements
- Monitor equipment and process performance and troubleshoot root causes
- Design and coordinate engineering tests and experiments
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain on changes and improvements
- Apply Six Sigma and Value Improvement tools to meet business goals
Technical Overview
This is a manufacturing engineering role centered on equipment requirements, monitoring equipment and process performance, and applying statistical/process improvement techniques such as process capability studies and Six Sigma. The engineer will design and coordinate engineering tests and experiments, analyze results, and collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and other teams to implement improvements under quality policy requirements.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level manufacturing engineer with a Bachelor’s in engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations. They should be strong in troubleshooting manufacturing processes, performing root cause analysis for non-conformances and low yields, and driving process improvement using Six Sigma and process capability studies.
