About this role
The Marketing Marine Accountant tracks and actualizes crude oil volumes to market, in storage, and to delivery while supporting accurate settlements and invoicing. The role performs month-end closing, prepares reconciliations and cash forecasts for Treasury, and supports audit and tax requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate crude settlements and invoices, including wire/cash payment setup and confirmation
- Perform month-end closing and GL AR/AP reconciliation and balance reconciliation
- Prepare cash forecasts for Treasury
- Review and record monthly journal entries for AR, AP, cash, broker, and prepaid accounts
- Support audit and tax requests and assist with system implementation (Allegro 8, SAP)

The ideal candidate is a mid-level accounting professional with strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation experience. They can manage month-end close, prepare GL AR/AP reconciliations, and produce cash forecasts for Treasury while accurately tracking crude oil volumes and resolving settlement discrepancies. Familiarity with SAP and system implementation work (including Allegro 8) is a strong match.
