About this role
Supervise remote coding operations by planning, organizing, and facilitating technical coding and education functions for health information management. Lead coder training and compliance enforcement, audit documentation quality, and drive improvement in query and case-mix reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate coding and education for health information management departments
- Train and evaluate coders in ICD-10-CM, CPT-4 and ED E/M coding
- Enforce NCCI compliance guidelines and maintain coding accuracy (98%)
- Review records for documentation deficiencies and improve processes via queries
- Supervise coder productivity and track case mix index (cmi) changes
