About this role
Dollar General Market Planning Analyst manages a multi-state territory to conduct site analysis and strategic planning for store locations. The role uses GIS and financial modeling to evaluate relocation and new store opportunities and collaborates with Real-Estate Managers to implement plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze site opportunities in a regional territory using demographic, psychographic, and competitive criteria
- Develop yearly strategic plan and pipeline
- Participate in spatial and financial analysis projects
- Manage store-level asset strategy based on lease and performance
- Present findings to Real-Estate and management teams
Technical Overview
GIS-based site analysis and mapping with Excel-based financial modeling; regression-style and scenario analyses for store planning; spatial and qualitative data interpretation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a market planning analyst with 2+ years of experience in strategic planning or market analysis, strong GIS and mapping skills, and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. They should be comfortable conducting demographic/psychographic analyses and collaborating with real estate teams to optimize store locations.
